Jennifer Parkhurst has created her own path every step of the way. Growing up the middle child, primarily raised by her mother, Jennifer learned early on what resilience looks like. Her mother worked multiple jobs to provide for her, showing Jennifer that determination, sacrifice, and perseverance could overcome even the most difficult circumstances. Those lessons would shape the way she approached every chapter of her own life. In college, Jennifer pursued criminal justice, but eventually left college to join the workforce and began a career with a dental supply company, working her way up to compliance officer. For years, she built a successful career while raising two sons, but over time, she realized she wanted to build a more stable future for her family.

Following a challenging divorce, a significant injury, and growing concerns about the direction of the company she had devoted years to, Jennifer made a series of life-changing decisions. She left the security of her corporate career, obtained her insurance license, and chose to build something of her own. That decision became a turning point. Jennifer discovered that many of the things she once thought were impossible were simply waiting for her to believe in herself. She launched 1st State Brokerage to help people in her community build secure futures and pursue their dreams.

Today, she helps people create retirement strategies that provide confidence, flexibility, and opportunity. Her passion comes from knowing firsthand that financial independence can open doors, create choices, and help people pursue the future they truly want. Having rewritten her own story, Jennifer is passionate about helping others realize they are capable of doing the same. Through education, honest guidance, and thoughtful planning, she helps her community build the confidence to create the future they envision.
